Design Brief

Children’s bedrooms often need to deliver a lot in a small space. They are often multifunctional spaces, requiring zones to work, rest and play.

Their occupants are constantly growing, not only in size but their likes and dislikes. Children’s rooms are one of the spaces in a home that need adapting every few years depending on the age of the child or teenager, be it small changes or a complete make over.

Wildlife Explorer

With clever planning we’ve managed to fit a small single bed with pullout storage draws, a desk with stool, plenty of hooks for hanging clothes and storage baskets to convert this home office space into a gorgeous little bedroom, full of fun to spark the imagination of its young inhabitant!

Cool Teen

This room has received a make over that will last the young lady into through their teens into adulthood.

The subtle gold geometric design on the wallpaper adds interest and reflects the sunlight beautifully when it streams through the window.

The remote control roman blind makes for effortless raising and lowering, whilst the pale fabric with Samuel and Son border makes this a timeless investment.

Pom-poms and Pastels

Pom-poms and flowers were in order to create this pretty room, with the request for lilac walls.

With white furniture and pastel accessories this room is both calming, relaxing and fun.

As with most of our briefs for children’s rooms this one can be easily re-accessorised as they grow up.

Sophisticated Tween

This palette with its muted greys, blush pink and rose gold has created a calming space that is very on trend now and very much loved by the young lady client! It appeals now but has been designed with teenage years in mind.

The walls, furniture and curtains are grey or white which provides a great canvas for a pop of colour. If pink isn’t in favour in a couple of years time the room can be re-accessorised with an alternative highlight colour which will completely change the look if so desired.

Treasure Hunter

Inspiring adventures, this Sanderson’s treasure map wallpaper was the starting point for this scheme, it's perfect for any young explorer!

The furniture has been painted grey, a neutral coloured carpet and black and cream roman blind added, meaning the investment pieces have longevity. When this little boy grows up and wants a more mature bedroom, the wallpaper and accessorises can be easily changed, giving the room a new lease of life.
