They say inspiration can be found in all manner of places, well believe it or not, the inspiration for this room came from a biscuit tin!
The client had collected a few velvet swatches and a biscuit tin lid with design and colours they loved, and that was the starting point. They wanted a warm cosy snug, in contrast to the large, bright open plan living space that spans the rear of this property.
The fireplace was to be replaced with a modern log burner and Amitico wood flooring would run through from the hallway.
Having discussed the brief and design inspiration with the client, one fabric sprung to mind immediately, and Harlequin Melora became the fabric for the footstool that would sit central to the room and our scheme.
Dark blue walls and sofas set the tone for this cosy space, with heavy curtains that puddle on to the floor. The contrasting chair in the bay window and selection of cushions in gorgeous tones add to the sumptuous feel.
This client also took advantage of our accessorisation and dressing service to finish off the room.
