Design Brief

Clients commissioned the design of their sitting room in their family home; an extensive property on the outskirts of Winchester, set on a hillside overlooking fields with the Cathedral in the distance.

They wished to create a beautiful space where they could host large family celebrations and social gatherings. The seating needed to be increased and offer flexibility. The client was keen to add a fender seat around the fire and keep the colour scheme complementary and sympathetic to the other the ground floor rooms.

Once the sitting room was complete we moved on to the dining room. Here we wanted to create a connection to the garden, visually linking the inside to the outside.

Kind words

I have worked with Becci on several projects in my home and Airbnb. Most recently she has completed a transformation of my sitting room and dining room. Her brief was to maximise the seating area of the sitting room, whilst making it a calm and restful space for relaxing and entertaining. Becci spends time getting to know you, your taste, objectives and budget. From her initial concepts, mood boards, use of local trades (for excellent and beautiful curtains and cushions, furniture re-upholstery, and installation of poles, blinds and curtains) to the delivery of the furniture and ideas for dressing the room, she is professional, attentive to detail and a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with both rooms, and will definitely be using Becci for future projects.
