A note for October from Hiltingbury Interiors
Hello,
We’re definitely deep into autumn now, aren’t we? The evenings are drawing in, the heating is on, and this weekend promises cosy movie nights under a blanket. I can’t wait for log fires, country walks, red wine, frosty mornings, and all the romantic charm of the season! We really have to find the silver lining in these chilly, rainy months, don’t we?!
Team Update
Hiltingbury Interiors has just experienced our busiest September yet. We've taken on some fantastic new residential projects, are in the process of installing a new retail store, and have several completed projects ready for photography. To support our growing client base, we are pleased to welcome Rebecca Vernon (of course she had to be called Becky!!) She’ll be joining us on a freelance basis, working from the studio one day a week while she continues her studies at university.
Rebecca is pursuing a degree in Interior Design and was a real asset during her work experience with us earlier this year. Welcome aboard, Becky number 3!
Decorex
We almost missed our trip due to a heavy workload, but we made it to London a couple of weeks ago — and we’re so glad we did! It’s always inspiring to see what’s new in the world of interiors. Here are some of our favourites...
Kast - These stunning coloured cast concrete basins caught our eye! Which one would you choose? We’ll be looking to incorporate one into a future build or renovation — anyone fancy one? I’d love to have an orange one in our house.
Linwood - One of our all-time favourite fabric houses showcased their new collections. Not only are their colours, designs and quality fantastic, but it’s wonderful to support an internationally acclaimed brand is based in Ringwood, just down the road from us.
Their new Helter Skelter Omega Velvet is my latest fabric obsession!
Unnatural Flooring Company and Alternative Flooring Company - We were keen to connect with both of these companies and explore their product ranges. Looped wools, sisal, and jute carpets have been popular for years, but until recently, this aesthetic could only be achieved with natural materials. While that’s great for the environment and health, it often didn’t meet the easy-clean needs of family homes with children and pets.
These two companies have now filled that gap in the market. We look forward to receiving our sample books and swatches, making it easier for our clients going forward.
Organoid - We loved these unusual and unique, natural textured surface coverings. Made entirely from natural materials, some even carry the delightful natural fragrances of flowers, foliage, and coffee beans — they're truly amazing! Be sure to check out their website to learn more about the company's ethos. Their interior products connect you to nature, quite literally!
MacMillan Coffee Morning
We really enjoyed our Macmillan coffee morning last month. It was lovely to get together with so many clients, friends and family — we even met some new faces! With over 40 people popping in for coffee and cake, the Studio provided a great back-drop for the event. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and/or donated to help us raise such a substantial amount. We’re definitely looking forward to participating again next year.
We’re gearing up to place orders for more Christmas gifting stock… Due to popular demand, we’ll be featuring the beautiful diffuser flowers and fragrances from Vintage & Bespoke. These make the perfect gift, especially when paired with one of our cute little vases. Keep an eye on our social media for their arrival date.
Wishing you a spooktacular Halloween and Guy Fawkes night! Whether you're enjoying trick-or-treating, spooky movies, or gathering around the bonfire to watch fireworks, may these nights bring joy and excitement. Embrace the spirit of the season! I look forward to writing to you again next month... I’m now looking forward to some time off during half term.
With love
